I wish that I could recall one special memory to share with all of you but the truth is that every moment I spent with Lorene was special. She was a friend to everyone she came in contact with...always greeting you with a smile and a hug. She saw the good in everyone never saying a bad thing about anyone. She never complained and was always ready to help anyone in need. I will miss her smile and her humor but I will always remember the amazing woman that she was and the things that I learned from her. She is a faithful servant and now continues on her amazing journey with our Lord and Savior. I thank God for putting Lorene in my life and letting me be a part of her family. And to Terri, Vicky, Jack and the rest of the family; you are all in my prayers and in my heart. You were all so very special to Lorene.

Such a special lady. I was honored to be considered her friend and I held her in the highest regard. Her humor was spot on and I will remember her quips forever. One night after Bible study, she said she was going home to put her feet up in her recliner. I replied that I would probably just head on to bed. She thought that sounded like a terrific idea, to which I apologized for corrupting her in that way. She replied with a huge grin, “Too late. There’ll a black mark on your chart for that when you get up ‘there’.” I’m sure everyone that ever met her has their own story of her humor and love. Her empty church pew will be a constant reminder that she is no longer in a failing body, but in the presence of Jesus, where she certainly belongs. She truly is a “God’s Girl.”
