I grew up with Marvin's son Rich Miers and I remember how Marvin would always talk to us growing up. I would listen to him because he would make the conversation interesting and he was always straight forward about what is was like growing up and becoming a responsible young man. I always felt like you could talk to him like he was your own Father. I respected him and thought he was one of the coolest Dads in my friend group. We are thinking of all of his family and are truly sorry for the loss of such a great man.The Griffith's

As Marvin"s youngest sister I have some great memories of times together especially after we both were older and married.
We snowmobiled together and I alway remember Marvin liked to ride fast and take chances. One time I clearly remember, I flipped my sled and Marv was behind me. He stopped and was concerned that I was okay, very typical
of big brother watching out for little Sis.
We enjoyed playing cards and I vividly remember the competition between my brothers. However, the biggest goal
for Marvin,Darrell, and Chuck was to beat us gals. That was a MUST!! We had lots of laughs and made great memories.
The biggest event I remember with Marvin was when Chuck and I went to visit his family in Clarinda in the late 70"s. Marvin prayed with Chuck to receive Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. What a wonderful Praise the Lord
moment. I know Marvin is enjoying heaven with Chuck and other family members, and I know I will see him again
I love you Marvin.

My mother Marilyn Cabbage has Alzheimer’s in Bradenton Florida. My sister Robin and I visited her today and told her of her brothers passing. She remembered him, and when I asked what her memory was, she said that her father was very hard on Marvin. She also said that her mother had a special place in her heart for Marvin because she saw how tenderhearted he was. One of my memories of uncle Marvin comes from stories that my father, DON Cabbage used to tell. My dad, uncle Marvin, and uncle Jerry were the three musketeers. What one of them didn’t think of doing for a little adventure, the other one would. I think uncle Marvin was just one who went along with whatever shenanigans the other two came up with. All I know is from the stories I heard it’s a wonder they all survived. Uncle Marvin was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family and extended family as well. May he rest in peace and enjoy being in the presence of the Lord, His parents, additional family and friends. And we will all be together soon someday for eternity.

To Dad
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
Now all we have is memories.
And a picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard"
With all my love
Kisses to heaven

As Marvin’s baby brother I remember so many times interacting with him. In fact he assisted me when I purchased my first Harley Davidson motorcycle. It was a 1950 with suicide clutch. We had a great time finding the bike and, at the time, he also had a 1950 Harley. We had many memorable rides and helmets were not required. As I was a junior in high school he co-signed my note, what a wonderful big brother!
Through the years we shared an interest in go-carts, boating & camping. We also played cards & dominoes, we are very competitive especially when it’s guys vs the girls. When Marvin moved his family to Moses Lake, Washington I prayed for his success but did miss him. So glad he was able to return and we enjoyed many additional years of sharing our lives.
I cherish all the memories and am blessed to have been his ‘little’ brother. We’re connected and I look forward to sharing eternity in Heaven with him as I know he had committed his life to Jesus as savior. I love you Marv, Darrell
