Dale enjoyed making people laugh, he loved making his dad’s recipe and having cook outs. Every year at Christmas time he would request Marie to make him some peanut butter cookies. They were his favorite. Dale’s family was his first priority, he loved them dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Dale passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and his wife Shirley. He is survived by his daughters Marie (Byron) Leland of Bedford, IA., Jeanette Massey of Cherryville, MO.; sons Dale Jr (Tammy) Smith of Red Oak, IA, Billy Smith of Cuba MO.; several grand-children and great grandchildren; long-time friends Dorothy Hilzendeger (Tammy Smith’s mother) and Judy from Lenox.
