Obituary of Vincent Bever

Vincent LeRoy Bever was born December 18, 1951 in Maryville, Missouri to Fred William Bever Sr. and Beverly Charlene (Long) Bever. He graduated Burlington Junction High School and attended two years aviation school in Kansas City.
After school Vince worked at Wilson Foods in Clarinda then at Griffin Pipe as a heavy equipment operator making pipe. He worked at Griffin Pipe 10 years. He then moved to Texas and worked on the oil fields as a derek hand. He returned to Griffin Pipe and made pipe of all sizes. Later, Vince worked at Henningsen Construction in Atlantic, Iowa. At Henningsen he was in construction as a heavy equipment operator. Vince retired from Henningsens after his health failed.
He enjoyed golf, watching western movies and shooting guns, the History Channel documentaries particularily World War I and II movies and the Animal Planet channel, COPS and Live PD. Outside of those activities he really enjoyed his dog, Killer.
Vincent passed away January 13, 2018 at Clarinda Regional Health Center following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Fred Bever Jr., and sister Linda Wilson.
He leaves behind his wife, Nellie Marie Bever of College Springs, IA; children Travis and Shana Annette Bever; sister Charlotte (Lonnie) Jones, Clarinda, IA: and stepchildren Shawn Robert Waterman, Tina Marie Waterman, and Daniel Joseph Waterman.
