BEVERLY BRAMBLE Beverly Ann (Maxwell) Bramble was born October 26, 1934 near Clarinda, Iowa to James and Ruby Ann (Peterson) Maxwell. She graduated Clarinda High School in 1953. Richard and Beverly were married June 3, 1954 and to this union were born Lisa and John. Richard and Beverly had begun their married life living in the Prison of War Camp on the south edge of Clarinda, as did many young couples at that time. Beverly worked at the Mental Health Institute, Clarinda Municipal Hospital, Citizens Bank, and ended her career at Clarinda City Hall. Beverly was a 50-year member of Eastern Star, and served in other organizations including American Legion Auxiliary, RSVP, and SHARE, Beverly passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Windsor Manor, Shenandoah, Iowa following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Barbara Croy and her son John. She is survived by her two children: Lisa (Roger) Miller, Clarinda, IA, John (Julie) Bramble, Clarinda, IA; grandchildren Billie (Aaron) Poland, Erin (Kelly) Henderson, Jamie (Adam) Criswell, Brooke (Boone) Campbell; great grandchildren Asher & Hattie Poland, Blake & Kenley Henderson, and Stella and Mack Criswell; brother-in-law David Croy of Urbandale, IA and his son Chris Croy. Funeral services for Beverly Bramble, 83 of Clarinda, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel, Clarinda, with interment at Memory Cemetery, New Market. Memorials are suggested to Clarinda Fire Department. A time for food and fellowship will follow the services in the Chapel's dining room. Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel provided arrangements.
