Services for Kenneth Moyer will be Friday December 28, 2018 at 1 pm at Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 6-8 pm. Memorials can be made to the family. Kenneth Past away December 21 ,2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Villisca, IA. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel. Kenneth Edwin Moyer Jr. was born February 26th, 1940, to Kenneth E. Moyer, Sr. and Mollie (Brislin)Moyer in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Ken grew up in Bethlehem, Pa and graduated from there in 1957 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. Ken spent the next 20 years serving his country and retired as a LCDR in 1977. While serving in the Navy he obtained his bachelor's degree in healthcare and achieved a Master’s Degree after retiring. Ken was blessed with 2 sons and a daughter with his first wife and later gained two more daughters when he entered into marriage with Janis Rowen, May 14th 1988. Ken worked in healthcare administration for 30 years, allowing him to live in various places all over the country, finally retiring December 31st 2006. Ken really enjoyed traveling, golf and sailing and was able to do just that after retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his oldest son Ken, and brother in law Joe Goodine. Ken is survived by his wife Janis of Clarinda, IA; daughter in law Tami Moyer of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter Tara Stockstell and husband Mark of Hamburg, IA; son T.J. Moyer and wife LeAnn of Phoenix, AZ; stepdaughter Angie Giancola and husband Dave of Carrollton, TX; and stepdaughter Trish Higgins and husband Chris of Clarinda, IA.; grandchildren: Sara, Allison, Abby, Amanda, Daniel, Kirsten, Kailee, Gianna, Layla, Dominic, Hannah, Alivia, Sam and Jessa and numerous more great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister MaryAnn Goodine of Smyrna, DE., and brother Michael Moyer and wife Donna of Shickshinny Lake, PA. as well as many more nieces, nephews, and friends.
