IRIS STEVENS Iris Jean Stevens was born October 27, 1946 at Plainview, Texas to Willis and Opal Butchee. She attended school in New Mexico and received her teaching degree. She and Milton Gollihugh both took classes at New Mexico University-Clovis and following that were married. Together they had three children: Kathleen, Milton Jr., and Karrie. Iris taught K-12 at Gallup, New Mexico. She raised her family and also helped her parents. She met Robert Stevens through the internet and became his wife in 2007 at Bedford, Iowa. Iris passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Clarinda Regional Health Center, Clarinda, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milton Lee Gollihugh; children Milton Lee Gollihugh Jr., and Elizabeth Karrie Parks; and step son Robert J. Stevens. Iris is survived by her husband Robert of Clarinda Iowa; daughter Kathleen Moreno, Clarinda, Iowa; grandchildren Faustino Moreno, Steven Moreno, Brandon Moreno, Brandy, Moreno, Teresa Gollihugh, Charles Parks, Adam Parks, Dawn Parks, and Danny Stevens; sister Sharon Hards of Circleville, Kansas; brother Bud (Charlene) Butchee of Arkansas; step son Danny Sie Stevens of Canada; and other friends and relatives. Celebration of Life memorial service for Iris Stevens (Mrs. Robert Stevens), 71 of Clarinda, will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel, Highway 2 Bypass, Clarinda. Visitation with the family will follow the services. Interment will be at Clarinda Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to family choice to be determined later. Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel is providing arrangements.
