Obituary of Carolyn M Wagaman

Carolyn Maxine (Nelson) Wagaman was born April 17, 1925, in Page County, Iowa, the daughter of Erick Robert Nelson and Edna (Wallin) Nelson.  Carolyn graduated from Villisca High School in 1942 and taught country school after graduation.  She was united in marriage on January 3, 1946, to Orvis Wagaman at Hiawatha, Kansas.  She was a farm wife until 1970 when the family moved off the farm and into Villisca.  At that time, she worked at Villisca Good Samaritan Home as a cook in the kitchen.  In 1974, the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she went to work at Millard Public Schools as a cook at Millard Central Jr. High.  She remained in this position until her retirement in 1992.  She was a member of Faith Westwood United Methodist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. 

 

Carolyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Robert Boe of Gretna, Nebraska, Brenda and Al Rotella of Omaha, Nebraska, and son and daughter-in-law Jan and Kimberly Wagaman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, grandchildren Marc Miller, Molly Edwards, Tiffany Bronson, Tim Marvin, Nick Rotella, Tony Rotella, Austin Wagaman and Taylor Wagaman, and great-grandchildren Meghan Miller, Garrett Miller, Dane Miller, Maylin Miller, Gabriella Edwards, Selah Edwards, Kelsey Chilton, Kade Skokan, Kiley Skokan, Karson Skokan, Makenna Rotella, Bria Rotella, August Rotella, Joseph Rotella, and Thomas Rotella, step great-grandchildren Sadie Bronson, Jacob Bronson, Brittany McGee and Emilee Hutchens, great-great-grandchildren Alora and Jarrett Shackleford, Layne Chilton and Caden Chilton, step great-great-grandchildren Noah McGee, Oliver Hutchens plus many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.  Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents, husband Orvis Wagaman, daughter Barbara Miller, two sisters Genevieve Schenck and Nadine Nelson, one brother Wendell Nelson, one nephew Jeffrey Nelson and two nieces Terry Maly and Trudy Nelson, one great niece Kristi Ann Schenck one great nephew Kirk Nelson.

 

May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn her passing.
