Obituary of Vicky L Stalder
Vicky Lee Stalder age 65, of Clarinda, IA, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, June 21st, 2024.
She was born February 24, 1959, in Clarinda, IA, to Glade and Dixie Booher. She grew up and attended school in Clarinda. She moved to Shenandoah after school for a couple of years, then moved back to Clarinda. She worked a few jobs but found her passion was taking care of people. Vicky spent over 35 years working at Bethesda Care Center, which became Westridge and is now called Azria. She started as a CNA, then got her CMA and passed medicine. She loved caring for people so much that she took care of her parents before their passing in 2014.
On March 27th, 1982, she was married to Randy Stalder. They were blessed with five children: David, Katina, Justin, Steven, and Daniel. They lived in Yorktown for many years until a house fire, then moved to Clarinda where they reside today.
Vicky loved to camp, play cards and sew. Quilting was something she loved, and she made and gifted them to many family members and friends. There were so many people’s lives that she touched that it would be impossible to list them all. If you spent any amount of time with her, you weren’t just a friend; you were family. Her favorite color was purple, her favorite flower was a Mum, and she loved Cardinals, Hummingbirds and Butterflies.
Vicky was preceded in death by her great-grandparents on both sides, her grandparents Ivan and Gladys Peterman and parents Glade and Dixie Booher, sister-in-law Debby Booher and many other cherished people she loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Randy Stalder, their 5 children; David (Tina) Stalder, Yorktown, IA., Katina Antonucci, Omaha, NE., Justin (Nicki) Stalder, WI., Steven Stalder, Clarinda, IA., and Daniel Stalder, Clarinda, IA., over 20 grandchildren with more on the way; brothers, Glade Booher Jr, and Neil (Danita) Booher, and Marty (Sandy) Booher, sister Kathy (RJ) Brown, along with aunts uncles, cousins, and so many friends.
Vicky will be remembered for generations for her kindness, caring and compassionate ways. But she will mostly be remembered for the unconditional love that she showed everyone.
