Oh how I loved my Aunt Sis. She was my little stick of California dynamite, who showed me what it's like to be "all in" when it came to loving the man who loved her back. What a long and full life she had, being a wife and mother and always commented to me, how that was all she needed to be happy ...the rest of her joy was just frosting. I know how much Grandpa Ray, Grandma Ann and my mama loved her and I can imagine there is quite a rejoicing going on upstairs, now, that they've all been reunited. Dennis and DeAnna and your families...I thought the world of your mother and I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for peace and contentment. Hugging you in my heart and that's where Aunt Sis will always stay. Love to you ALL

I first met her at bowling in Westminster California. We bowled on the same team for a year and I continued to enjoy her friendship over the years at bowling. She was a wonderful, positive and kind person who is greatly missed. She was very sweet, supportive and special to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Grandma had a way of making each of us grandchildren feel like we were her favorite. I have so many memories playing cards, chinese checkers (she always won), baking cookies, and bread pudding. I never tired of hearing stories of her childhood going to the movies with her brother Ferral on visits to town to visit their father, working as a soda jerk, the work that went into waxing the old wood floors and her Penny Saver clock that was always above the kitchen sink. Grandma shared so many words of wisdom that I remember and hold dear even today and have even shared with my own children. I also picked up a few frases through the years leading people to ask me about my accent. Apparently "I reckon, britches, that's George, sugar bug and egads" are midwest not southern california. I can't fit a liftime with grandma in one post. She is greatly loved, missed and forever in our hearts.

Mabel-Charlie Brown loved her New England Patriots
So…..
Our church had Mathew Salter speak and I invited her.
Mathew was kind to take a picture with Mabel. She was so taken back that he would poise for my picture.

We met at bowling, she loved the game and often bowled better than all of us. I once helped her sign up with DMV so she could renew her driver's license. She was so thankful. She was so smart but not too keen about the internet. I will miss her always. She always made me smile.

Mabel is/was a wonderful person who played a domino game called Mexican Train with six other fun loving ladies. We met in a Coco's restaurant and each lady brought candy. Mostly chocolate., and we ate candy, played dominoes, ate lunch, got a little high on so much chocolate. Other customers heard us laughing and sometimes singing and would stop by to see what we were playing and having so much fun. Mabel was the quietest and I would pick on her telling her that she talked too much! We all miss our fun days; Mabel wanted to come back and play again, We all did.

Oh my dear departed Mabel. How I wish we had me sooner. We met on the bowling league my dear friend was on and became friends. I enjoyed all our times together. You reminded me so of my mother. Same sassy wit.
I was so sorry you went into assisted living as I know you didn't want to.
Well, Goodbye my dear friend. You are at peace now. I will never forget your sweet spirit and what a bowler you were.
Love you til we meet again.

Bidding final adieu to Mabel; the Charlie Brown of my world. A life garnished by tales lived and shared, a foodie who dared to try her first taco salad with me and mother-in-law extraordinaire to Arnaud. Your second mom, greatest bowling partner, and dear patient when under weather's whip. As I pen these lines, Tim joins me in echoing the ache left behind. May peace find her in its warm embrace!
