Obituary of Winifred Fishell

Winifred May Green Fishell, 98, Clearmont, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Westridge Quality Care and Rehab in Clarinda, IA. Winifred was born August 4, 1919 to William H. and Estella Green. She attended and graduated from Clearmont High School in 1936. Winifred married Eldon Lewis (Jake) Fishell in Troy, KS on December 12, 1946. She resided on their farm outside of Clearmont for all of her married life. Winifred especially loved and enjoyed all of her cats and kittens, as well as going to auctions. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, her parents William and Estella Green and her brothers Harry and William Green. Survivors include nephews and nieces, Dennis (Phyllis) Guthrie, Clearmont, MO, Lanny (Kris) Guthrie, Clearmont, MO, Lon (Enid) Guthrie, Dordogne, Aquitaine, France, Richard Guthrie, Excelsior Springs, MO, Larry Fishell, St. Paul, NE, Chere Burch Norman, Corona, NM, Christina (Michael) Gasper, Gibsonia, PA, Dawn Denise (Chris) Malone, Sterling, NE, Bobby Green, Kansas City, MO, Blake (Nyoka) Green, and many great nephews and great nieces. Lewis and Winifred were fortunate to find a deep and endearing friendship with their wonderful neighbors Warren and Jean Teuscher. The family will always be grateful for all the kindness that they gave, treating them like family, as well as all the help provided through the years. Graveside services for Winifred Fishell, 98 of Clarinda, formerly of Clearmont, will be at 11 am on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, Missouri. There is no scheduled visitation.
