Obituary of Richard Leroy Loghry

Richard Leroy Loghry was born April 24, 1957, at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA to Clifford Carllow Loghry and Margaret Elizabeth Allen (Capper). He was a proud Marine veteran, proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Upon leaving the military, he married the love of his life, Dianna, and helped raise her two daughters and loved them like his own. He unexpectedly went to be with the lord on February 13, 2024.

He leaves behind his daughters Jeannie Kern (Chris) and Shellie Faught (Alan), grandchildren Shelby Kiser (Travis), Tony, Mashayla Williams (Jonah), DJ Sanford (Ashlei), Preston Kern, Cheyanne Kern, and grand pup Chaos Marie Faught. Great-grandchildren Ember, Paisley, Mason, Abram, Ivy, Winston, Lexi and Bentlee. Brothers Orville Sr. (Ramona), John (Jeanne), Roger (Lisa), Jim. Step siblings: Patricia Thompson, Victoria Fichter, Juanita Brower, Christina Young, Nicholas Allen, Norma McVey. 30 nieces and nephews, 35+ great nieces and nephews, 4 great-great nieces and one great-great nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Loghry, Margaret Allen, David Allen, grandson Triston Jean Kern, nephew John “Buddy” Loghry, and nephew Matthew Sasser.
