Marjorie L. Young was born in Clarinda, Iowa July 23, 1943 to Theodore and Zola Nina (Meyers) Lasley.
She married Randy Young and raised her family in Clarinda. Marge was an LPN and worked at the Mental Health Institute for 25 years.
Marge loved to work in her yard, loved to feed her birds and squirrels, and loved talking to her girlfriends.
For years Marge loved to work on her family genealogy. She also loved to travel to see family or take a cruise with her husband.
Every night Marge and Randy would just take a care ride to see the sights. Marge would often sit and watch HGTV or work on her word search. She would always find something to do in her 20 years of retirement from the MHI.
Marge would really enjoy it when her kids, grandkids, or great grandkids would come to visit. Her house was always full of family. Never a dull moment in the Young house.
Marge passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her home. Marge left behind her husband Randy; brother Byron and wife Vicky Lasley of Clarinda; daughter Susan and husband Russell Baer of Clarinda; sons Bill Nicks of Clarinda, Kevin Nicks of Wyoming, Jim and wife Linda Young of Bedford, Iowa, and Tim and wife Sherry Young of Bedford, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Zola Lasley; sister Patricia Welch, and brother Raymond Lasley.
