Obituary of Andrew George Feistner

Andrew was born at Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa on August 26, 1973, to Walter George, Jr. and Janice Iline (Odson) Feistner. 

He grew up and went to school in Villisca a won many Speech awards.  After school, he attended IWCC in Council Bluffs for business.  He then worked for the Oriental Trading Company, Marriott Hotels (sales and auditing) and Alorica (AT&T) all in Omaha. 

For the last year and a half, he fought throat cancer, losing his ability to speak and eventually, his life.  Up to the last week before his death, he would use the AI technology on his phone to speak for him. 

He loved cooking and was always trying to make the perfect roll or loaf of bread. He was always interested in news from around the world and on-line gaming.

A huge thank you to the staff at Villisca Good Samaritan, for the respect and dignity shown to him!

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Walter George (Sr) and wife Mary of Kimball, Nebraska, and Elmo and Evelyn Odson Nodaway/Villisca, Iowa, step-father Herbert A. Phillis of Villisca and step-grandmother Leona Phillis of Villisca and aunt and uncle Jerry and Marilyn (Odson) Barnard of Corning, Iowa.

He is survived by his mother, Janice Phillis, Villisca, Iowa; brothers, Chris Feistner, Omaha, Nebraska, and Daniel (Lori) Feistner, Pocahontas, Iowa along with niece and nephew, Leslie (Bernard) Sefogah and their children: Eliona, Eliza, and Theodore, Plymouth, Minnesota, and Stuart Feistner (Alisha Laver) and their children: Harrison, Gideon, and Ellouise, Manning, Iowa along with many friends in Villisca, and the Omaha area.
