Curt, I am going to miss Joyce. Whenever she would see me in the pharmacy she would always come over and share something about one of the grandkids. She was so proud of them and she loved them so. The community will miss her, not just me. After just going through the loss of my father, I can relate to your loss a bit. It leaves a hole through your heart that hurts and creates such a sense of loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Steve Mowery

I am so sorry for your families loss. I was in the first 3rd grade class Mrs. Lantz had at New Market. She had been a long term sub for my second grade class, when Mrs. Ascherl had her son Austin. She always called us her "alligators." When she left from the long term subbing position, we made a sign that said, "see you later, alligator." Mrs. Lantz was always a very kind and sweet person. I could tell even at that age, she loved her family very much. Mr. Lantz even got to come and do a science experiment with us. We were pen pals with some of her daughters friends at Northwest. We definitely were very loved by her and I remember good penmanship was very important to her. :) She had beautiful handwriting. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Jana (Harris) Scott

Joyce's quick wit, warm demeanor, and generous spirit was as inspiring as it was uplifting. Her dedication to the library and its many programs displayed her thoughtfulness and kindness. The delight she took in sharing stories of her beloved grandchildren filled the room with joy. Her absence is deeply felt, leaving a void irreplaceable; her laughter echoing in fond memory. May we forever cherish the precious times spent chatting with such a remarkable woman. Joyce will truly be missed.
