Obituary of Linda Ann Ramsey-Potter

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda Ann (Fryer) Ramsey-Potter was born June 3rd, 1939, in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Iowa to Arnold (Spec) and Marguerite Fryer. Linda was the oldest child of this union’s 5 children.

Linda had many talents, baking, sewing, and drawing. She was known for her baking, specifically her pies. She would make pies for almost any occasion, so she could share her talent with others. Over the years, she would sew clothing and crafts for her family and friends. During her younger years, she spent time exercising her artistic ability by drawing pen and ink pictures.

She had a love for enjoying the simple things in life, such as watching the wildlife from her front deck at her home on the lake in Oklahoma. She enjoyed traveling and taking in the scenery, whether it be a trip across the country or just a short-day drive.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, sister Illene, brother Edward, grandson Eric, husband James Potter, and special friend Bruce Kortkamp.

Linda is survived by her children, Lorretta Ramsey of Colorado, Kim (Craig) Winther of Villisca, Ed (Angie) Ramsey of Villisca, Robin (Rod Jackson) Ramsey of Bedford. 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Dear friends Bev (Larry) Rodenburg, Shannon Reynolds, Bob and Joy Tanner, and Ethan (Wendy) Kortkamp.
