Obituary of Manuel Arce Fuentes

Manuel A. Fuentes, Jr.

Manuel Fuentes, Jr. was born on October 16, 1940. He passed away on February 6, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.

Manuel is survived by his sons, Jason (Earl) Grantz and wife, Joan of Clarinda, Iowa; Steven Fuentes and wife, Norma of Texas; and Manuel Fuentes III and wife, Blanca of Texas. Additionally, he is survived by his daughters, Christine Givens and husband, Michael of Clarinda, Iowa; Tanya Baker of Villisca, Iowa. He has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Manuel was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Fuentes; son, Jacob Fuentes; son-in-law, Roger Baker and sister, Ruth Diaz.

Manny enjoyed traveling and spent his winters in San Antonio, Texas after retiring from Clarinda Correctional Facility where he provided twenty years of service.

Among his many hobbies and favorite activities, he took pleasure in baseball, softball, and fishing
