Obituary of Rutha M. Sweatman

Rutha May Sweatman was born in Denton, TX to Luther and Ruth (Culpepper) Bays on September 25, 1943.  She passed away at the Red Oak Good Samaritan Society on December 25, 2022.

Rutha lived most of her life in Denton and Young Co. TX. but spent the last 23 years of her life in Villisca and Southwest Iowa.   She married Roy K Sweatman and had three children, Mary, Martha, and John.

Rutha love to play the scratch-off tickets, drink her Dr. Pepper and spend time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Roy, partner Richard Core, her parents, brother Jim Bays and stepson Dale Sweatman.

Rutha is survived by her children; Mary Sweatman, Martha Oltmanns and John Sweatman, and stepson Roy L Sweatman, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
