Obituary of Calvin Ernest Whipple

Calvin Whipple passed away October 15, 2022, in Omaha, Nebraska from cancer. He was just 63 years old.

Calvin was born February 19, 1959, in Maryville, Missouri, the 4^th child to George and Marjorie (Hamilton) Whipple. He started school in Braddyville, IA, until his family moved to Clarinda and then to New Market.

 They always lived on a farm, growing, tending, and harvesting the family garden, he spent time playing in the creek and riding his bike with the siblings. 

After he got out of school, he went to work.  He worked in construction, did carpentry work, worked for a pig farm, and trucker for the gate factory until his retirement in 2021. He married Linda Kingery Stewart June 25, 2004, in Clarinda, Iowa. Calvin loved spending time with grandkids, fishing, and camping.

Preceded him in death are his parents George (1999) and Marjorie (1984), brother Richard Whipple (2015), niece Tina Hartman (2017), and grandparents JT and Bea Hamilton, and Harry and Grace Whipple.

Calvin is survived by wife Linda of Clarinda, Iowa, stepsons Daniel (Melanie) Stewart and their children, Parker, Denvir, and Garner of Lenox, Iowa, Christopher Stewart and children Cole and Ava of New Market, Iowa, sisters Lora (Greg) Wood of Clarinda, Iowa, Deloris (Rick) Brumfield of Gravity, Iowa, brother Ronnie Whipple of Clarinda, Iowa; aunts, Deloris Argo of New Market and Frances Moore of Bellevue, NE; uncles, Larry (Maxine) Hamilton, Coin, IA and Dallas (Rita) Hamilton of Burlington, JCT., MO,  grandchildren, Brian Heinen (Katie) great-grandkids- Gage, Ryder, Ashton, Jax and Amelia of Bedford, IA Jimmy Heinen and great-grandkids, Aubrie and Chevy of Bedford, IA, Nikki Frueh (Logan) great-grandkid Alayna of Pickering, Mo, Megan Mildward (Brice) great grandkids Adalee and Adyson of Maryville, MO many other family members, and friends.
