Joy Eileen (Dow) Herron passed away peacefully Friday, May 27, 2022.

 

Joy was born November 10, 1944, in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Stanley Joseph Dow and Eileen Agnus (Kermeen) Dow.

 

On September 14, 1968, Joy was united in marriage to George Robert Herron, Jr.  They later divorced.

 

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Eileen, husband, Bob, brothers, Charles Walter Dow, Ronald Stanley Dow, and sister-in-law, Janet Colleen (Kelley) Dow.

 

Joy is survived by her son, Darrin D. (Joni) Herron of Effingham, Illinois, three grandchildren, Haley Brooke Mostar of Bonnor Springs, Kansas, Gabriel Dean Herron of Lawrence, Kansas, and Abria Ione Herron of Vandalia, Illinois; sisters Jean (Warren) Teuscher, Clearmont, Missouri, Janice (Bert) Peterman, Shambaugh, Iowa, Joleen Dow, St. Joseph, Missouri, and brother, Dennie Dow, Hopkins, Missouri.

Services

There will be a celebration of life at “The Shed” at Joy’s house on Saturday, June 4, 2022., starting at 1:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome. Please bring your lawn chair, favorite beverage, and a good story to tell.
