Obituary of Wesley Dean Pulliam
Wesley Dean Pulliam was born to Max and Lois (Davison) Pulliam on December 12, 1950.
He grew up in Clarinda and graduated from Clarinda High School. He worked his way through high school at A&W. After graduation, he began his work caring for others, first at Glenwood State School and then at Clarinda MHI. He invested most of his working years to the care of others.
Wesley was united in marriage to Karen Ludington on February 10, 1978. This union was blessed with three children, Greg, Lisa, and Renee. Family was very important to Wesley. He enjoyed gardening, playing Pitch, and watching his grandchildren in their activities in his free time. He looked forward to phone calls and visits from family and friends. During football season, Wesley spent his time cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wesley also enjoyed traveling, especially to warmer climates. Wesley will be missed by family and many friends.
Preceding Wesley in death was his parents: Max and Lois Pulliam, his wife Karen, child Jared, mother-in-law Lou Ludington, father-in-law Vernon Ludington, and brother-in-law Kenneth Ludington.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Greg (Amy) Pulliam (Clarinda, Iowa), Lisa (Kevin) Johnston (Barrie, Ontario, Canada), Renee (Denny) Pulliam (Clarinda, Iowa). Grandchildren Morgan (Elijah) Esque (Shenandoah, Iowa), Brayden and Rylan Johnston, Ashton, and Andi Pulliam; great-grandson Holdyn Esque with another great-grand baby on the way. Siblings Les (Carol) Pulliam (Kansas City, Missouri), Steve (Becky) Pulliam (Kansas City, Kansas), Angie (John) Sebeneicher (Allen, Texas), Rod (Jenny) Pulliam (Phoenix, Arizona), along with aunts/uncles, cousins, several nieces, and nephews.
