Catherine Grashorn, 86, passed away Jan 5, 2022, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She was born Oct 17, 1935, Humphrey NE and the last to pass away in the Joseph and Angela (Melcher) Moser family who had ten children.

She married Elmer Grashorn in May 1955 in Humphrey, NE. They lived near Madison on a farm and moved in 1961 to a farm near Villisca, IA. They moved to their own farm in 1977. She and Elmer raised eight children with a lot of hard work farming, gardening, milking cows and raising chickens.

Cathy was very family centered. She loved holidays where she shared her cooking and baking skills. She was an avid angel collector and loved listening to traditional country music.

She is survived by five children: Becky (Gary) Kreikemeier of Bellwood, NE, Lonnie Grashorn of New Market, Patricia Grashorn of Clarinda, Terry Grashorn of Villisca, and Clayton (Chaundra) of College Springs. Cathy had eleven grandchildren: Mellissa Kreikemeier of Aurora, Amanda (Adam) Krueger of Gibbon, NE, Tony (Julie) Kreikemeier of Shelby, NE, Lynsey (Joel) Martenson of Aurora, NE Amy (Matt) Maly of Wahoo, NE, Brian Story and Natalie (Bradley) Morgan of Glenwood, IA, Josh Grashorn of College Springs, IA, Kelsea (Steve) Grashorn of Clarinda, IA, Nykkohl and Britnee Hedlund of Red Oak, IA.

She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren: Eli, Alivia, Brooke and Ty Kreikemeier of Shelby, NE, Jack, Blakely and Alek Krueger of Gibbon, NE Henry Maly of Wahoo, NE and Mackenzy and Garret Martenson of Aurora NE. Catherine is also survived by sisters-in-law: Karen Grashorn of Stanton, IA, Winona Moser of Plevna, MT, Kathy Moser of Norfolk, NE, Kathy Moser of Casper, WY, Betty Eucker of Madison, NE, Anna Moser of Baker, MT, and Irene Hansen of Norfolk, NE.

She was preceded in death by husband Elmer and her children: son Bernard, daughters Pamela Hedlund and Margaret Grashorn, grandson Zach Grashorn, sisters Lucille (Clete) Widhalm and Eileen (Norman) Eucker, brothers Richard, Walt, Melvin, Kenny, Paul, Eugene, and James Moser, along with other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
