Obituary of Trey Whitman

Please share a memory of Trey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

What does someone say when they lose someone as amazing as you, my son?  I know you were hurting deep inside and I wish I could of took that pain away.  We will always remember the smile on your face when you were happy, the frowns when you didn’t get your way, and the middle finger flips when you thought we didn’t see.

The unicorn back pack that you took so proudly to school last year is something that showed your true personality.  You didn’t care if it was girly looking.  You loved playing that XBOX all the time even if you stayed up for days at a time and made pizzas at 3 a.m. in the oven that you left on and forgot about and they burnt to a crisp at home and your dads and you still ate them.  I’m surprised you didn’t burn the house down.

I know you enjoyed driving your sisters crazy, taking their things and hiding them and always keeping a straight face denying doing it. Sneaking out and taking the car with Paige to go Pokémon hunting in Red Oak and the cops caught the two of you.  Paige said you were so scared, I think the phone call from the cops that night scared me more.

Your love for the Denver Broncos was OK…at least they won the Super Bowl.  Then you could brag how good your team was knowing there are Bears, Rams and Chiefs fans in the family.

Your friends Will, Griffin and Cody were your partners in crime. They will always drink Pink Monsters with you, so keep some with you.

I am sure your dad will never forget how strong you are or at least his jaw won’t.  We will keep all golf clubs put up high.

Just know we will miss you so much.  You can finally meet your other brother, Cody, who will take care of you.  Brody will forever miss his George but he knows to just look to the stars.  Don’t worry Trey, your white Adidas shoes are safe.  Keaton can’t wear them, your foot didn’t have enough time to fill his shoes.

Be at peace my baby, just know we all love and will miss you forever until I see you again. Fly high my son…..
