Richard Allen was born September 10, 1948 to James Edward and Helen (Heywood) Wayman Sr. in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After high school he married Nancy Coston. He worked at an implement and agri-service business for about 10 years. He began over the road trucking hauling grain, cement, meat and by products until he retired in 2011. Richard loved to hunting, fishing, woodworking, trap shooting clay pigeons, boating with their pontoon and fireworks. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Diana Achenbach; 2 grandsons Cody and Trey; brothers-in-law Gary and Harold Coston. Richard is survived by his wife Nancy of Clarinda; 3 children, Jodie (Brian) Taylor-Elmquist of Stanton, Iowa, Tracy (Lonney) Terry of Red Oak, Iowa, Erin (Jason) Sanders of Hawleyville, Iowa; grandchildren Keaton, Jade, Paige, Dillon, Kaylee, Sydney and Breanna; 3 great-grandchildren Brody, Abel and Athena; brothers James (Mary) Wayman of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Gary (Debra) Wayman of Cleveland, Texas, and Mike Wayman, Independence, Missouri, ; sisters-in-law Waneta (Tom) Gibson of Grand Island, Nebraska, Pauline Coston of Coin, Iowa and Fran Coston of Montana. A memorial gathering for Richard Allen Wayman, 70 of Clarinda, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel, Clarinda with a luncheon to follow for friends and family. A memorial fund is being established. Walker-Merrick-Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel is providing arrangements.
